The Swapping Rules
- Swap up to 5 fashion items. CLOTHES, SHOES & BAGS only – no accessories, lingerie, hosiery or swimwear.
- $50 minimum value for all items.
- Items are rated and exchanged for tokens (your swap night currency). $50-$100 = Pink token, $100-$200 = Silver token, $200+ = Gold token.
- Items must be in excellent swapping condition – either ‘new’ or ‘near-new’. Nothing over 3 years old except of course if it’s a good vintage.
- No holes, stains, pilling or patchouli-smells.
- Clean, folded and ironed please.
- High street is out. Sorry no Dotti, Supre, Valleygirl, Tempt, Cotton On – remember $50 minimum value.
- Style is in the eye of the beholder, but let’s agree that some items are ‘Black Listed’: velour trackies, sneakers, backpacks, and pleather are all OUT. Shoulder pads are officially off this Black List – thank you ‘80’s!
- No Indian giving – be emotionally ready to relinquish your goods.
- All tokens must be used on night of issue, and cannot be redeemed at other events.
- Style is not defined by age or size, so anyone can come along to our Swap events. Under 18’s need to bring along a parent or guardian though.
